Churches in Barberino Di Mugello near Florence
Church of Sant'Andrea a Camoggiano: costruita built in 1470, it is an example of late renaissance architecture; on the portal there is a lunette with a Pieta attributed to Bartolomeo di Giovanni
Pieve di San Gavino: built in 1037 by the earls Alberti di Mangona, completely rebuilt in 1262, it was enlarged by Cosimo I De' Medici in 1543 and restored in the 18th century.
Pieve di San Jacopo a Cavallina: it has roman origins; in the presbytery there is a little tabernacle made of serena stone from the school of Mino da Fiesole.
Romanesque Pieve of San Giovanni in Petrojo: built in 1097. In the arcade and inside the building itself stone columns with romanesque capitals mark the boundary. In the right aisle you can admire a baptismal font in serena stone of 1400.
