Marradi near Florence in Tuscany
The municipal territory of Marradi, located in a mountainous area at 324 metres above sea level, extends over an area of 150 sq km, occupying the upper valley of the Lamone river, the most eastern part of what is called the Romagna Tuscany, and has a population of about 3,500 inhabitants. It is located about 65 kms from Florence and its territory comprises many hamlets: Popolano, S. Adriano, Lutirano, Biforco, Campigno and Crespino.
In Marradi, as in most parts of the Mugello, the famous “Marrone” (chestnut) is cultivated, which was recognized by the European Comunity with the quality designation: Indicazione Geografica Protetta (IGP) (Indication of Geographical Protection)

By Car: From Florence: Autostrada A1, exit at Barberino di Mugello, State road SS Barberino- Borgo San Lorenzo, Regional road 302 to Faenza (35 kms).
From Bologna: Autostrada A14 towards Rimini, exit at Faenza, Regional road 302 towards Florence (36 kms).
By Train: From Florence: FS line Faentina; From Faenza: FS line Faentina
