Montelupo Fiorentino near Florence in Tuscany

Montelupo Fiorentino is 25 kms from the city seat of Florence and is located in an area of the Arno, beyond the southwestern hills of Florence, where the land flattens to the sea and where the Arno joins the Pesa river valley.

Along an important automotive and rail passageway between Florence, Pisa and Siena, and the gateway to the Empoli Valdarno, Montelupo has maintained an excellent relationship with its natural surroundings. The town faces the cultivated countryside, rich in woodland, vineyards and the lush verdant scenery of a Tuscany, uncontaminated by massive urban settlements.

It comprises an area of 24.60 sq kms and, together with Capraia and Limite, Cerreto Guidi, Empoli and Vinci makes up the “Terre del Rinascimento” (Renaissance Lands), an itinerary rich in history, art and nature, evidence of the Florentine Renaissance.

By Car: da From Florence or from the Autostrada del Sole A1, (Signa exit), take the SGC Florence-Pisa-Livorno to the Montelupo Fiorentino exit.
By Train: From the SMN Railway station in Florence, trains for Montelupo Fiorentino on the Florence-Empoli-Pisa-Livorno lines
