Museo della vita e del lavoro della gente di montagna (Museum of rural mountain life and labour): Inside the Capitani Palace: houses a collection of objects belonging to the municipality of Palazzuolo. The Museum reconstructs places such as a watermill and areas of the home. Instruments are exhibited which represesnt cylical themes and professions: coal, chestnuts, wheat, carpentry and iron working.
Museo Archeologico Alto Mugello (Archaeological Museum of the Upper Mugello): Located inside the Capitani Palace.
It documents the lesser known and ancient times of the territory of the upper valley of the Lamone, Senio and Santerno rivers. The prehistoric remains refer to a wide span of time and are exhibited in a narrative context, describing the significant steps in the evolution of man. The preparation of the museum was done by the Upper Mugello Archaeological Group, which wanted to collect and preserve the proof that man continously occupied the inaccessible upper Mugello area from prehistory to modern times.
Borgo dell'Ore (Ore Village): Located behind the Town hall. A very characteristic antique village.
Chiesa parrocchiale di S. Stefano (Parish Church of S.Stefano): has a three-arch portico. Inside you can admire: “The Angel freeing Saint Peter from Prison” (oil on canvas 1808), “The Virgin with Child and Saints” (oil on canvas from the 18th century) “The Visitation” (oil on canvas from the 17th century).
Santuario di Santa Maria della Neve di Quadalto (Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Neve in Quadalto): located in the hamlet of Quadalto. It was originally an oratory built in 1459, then enlarged at the beginning of the 1600’s to assume its present form as a church. An image of the Madonna in the Botticelli style is located on the main stone altar. Two antique andirons in the baroque style and an 18th century organ are situated in the choir.
Antica frazione di Lozzole (Ancient hamlet of Lozzole): here there was a castle owned by the Bishops of Florence, then by the Ubaldini familiy, thus, in 1373, by the Republic of Florence. Here you can see the ancient structrure of the hamlet with the Church of Saint Barthelemew.
Antica frazione di Bibbiana (Ancient hamlet of Bibbiana): Property of the Ubaldini, the church dedicated to Saints Simone and Giuda, restored by the Granduke Pietro Leopoldo, is located here.
Badia di Susinana: an ancient Cluniac monastery, it passed to the Order of the Vallombrosians between 1070 and 1090, and home to Maghinardo Pagani, the ”lioncel dal nido bianco” from Dante.
Pieve di San Giovanni Decollato a Misileo (Parish Church of San Giovanni Decollato in Misileo): preserves important sacred furnishings, among which a watercolour on wood from the Ghirlandaio school from the end of the 1400’s and a chasuble in gold and silver brocade from the 18th century. Under the apse of the church is a Carolingi crypt demonstrating its origin.
The Castellaccio: a Medieval fortress belonging to the Ubaldini, today in ruins. Part of the tower, an underground room and a trace of the wall are visible.
Chiesa dei SS. Egidio e Martino a Salecchio (Church of Saints Egidio and Martino in Salecchio): Built on the remains of an old castle, there are two bells and a 14th century cross with incisions of the evangelists.
