Pontassieve in the Val Di Sieve in Tuscany

Built on the area where the Arno and Sieve rivers join, Pontassieve is today the most populated municipality, not only in the Sieve valley, but in the entire Province, with its 20,300 inhabitants distributed over an area of 115 sq kms. In fact, it outnumbers the other comunities of the valley in inhabitants and extention. It is an important passageway where the SS 70 crosses the Consuma valley and goes to Casentino, the SS 69 to Arezzo and the SS 67 arrives in Romagna crossing the Mandrioli pass.
