Regello in the Val d'Arno in Tuscany
Reggello occupies an extention of 121.9 sq kms at the most eastern part of the Province of Florence, from the bottom of the Arno valley to the top of the mountains of Pratomagno, passing from 103 metres above sea level to a height of 1537 metres at Poggio dell’Uomo di Sasso.
We are in the heart of central Italy, a few kilometres from Florence, on the direct line which unites the principal Tuscan city to Arezzo, Umbria and then to Rome. Opposite are the mountains of the Chianti, a natural boundary between the upper Valdarno and the territory of Siena.
DIRECTIONS
By Car: From Bologna: Autostrada del Sole A1, exit Incisa Val d’Arno, take the municipal road for Reggello, or exit at Baberino, follow the signs for the SS 551 of the Mugello, then SS 67 for Pontassieve and SS 69 to S. Ellero or Leccio, then the Municipal road for Reggello.
From Rome: Autostrada del Sole A1, exit Incisa and the municipal road for Reggello.
For the Vallombrosa Forest: Provincial road n. 87 (Matassino Reggello) and n. 85 (Pietrapiana Vallombrosa Tosi) or n. 86 (Reggello Donnini Tosi).
