Things to see in Reggello in the Val d'Arno in Tuscany

The monasteries, churches and castles in the territory are of great historical-artistic regard. Among the monasteries, Vallombrosa is of noteworthy religious interest, and also of great historical and artistic value.

Among the castles – Sammezzano and the Castellano Tower.
Among the churches to visit: S.Pietro in Cascia with the “Triptych of San Giovenale” and the nearby Masaccio Museum of Sacred Art, Sant’Agata in Arfoli, the Parish church of Pitiana, Santa Margherita in Cancelli, S.Clemente.

The territory of the municipality of Reggello is of great scenic and environmental interest: Mount Secchieta (1450 metres), the Vallombrosa Forest and the S.Antonio Forest are necessary visits for excursionists. Another interesting phenomenon to visit are the “Balze”, the picturesque erosions.
Saltino, a hamlet of Reggello, is a renown tourist site at 890 metres. We suggest a visit to Poggio alla Regina for those interested in archaeology.
