Rufina in the Val Di Sieve in Tuscany

 

Geographically, the territory of Rufina extends over an area of 46 sq kms, occupies the long mountainous spur of Pomino and is located in the lower Sieve Valley. It extends along the southern left bank of the Sieve river, almost to the point where it joins the Arno. The boundary of the municipality has the following territorial borders: Pontassieve, Pelago, Montemignaio, Pratovecchio, Londa and Dicomano.

 

DIRECTIONS
By Car: From Bologna: Autostrada del Sole – A1: exit at Barberino, take the state road 551 “Traversa del Mugello” to Dicomano, turn onto state road 67 “Tosco Romagnola”
From Rome: Autostrada del Sole – A1: exit at Incisa Valdarno, take the state road 69 to Pontassieve, then SS 67 for Rufina.
From the Autostrada Firenze-Mare A11: follow directions south and toward Pontassieve, then Rufina (SS 67).

By Bus: SITA lines – connections with Florence - www.sita-on-line.it

By Train: From the Santa Maria Novella or Campo di Marte train stations in Florence, Borgo S.Lorenzo-Faenza line. The Rufina station is in the centre of town - www.trenitalia.com
