Der Palast, dessen Ursprünge auf das XII Jahrhundert zurückgehen, ist im Jahre 1800 ein Internat für Mädchen gewesen.
Er war in den letzten zehn Jahren geschlossen und ist dank der Familie Iacopini, die seit Jahrzehnten Eigentümer des Gebäudes ist, zu neuem Glanz und zu neuer Bestimmung wiederaufgeblüht.
Nach den Restaurierungs-und-Verschönerungsarbeiten, bei denen man die strukturellen Merkmale unverändert gelassen hat, ist das Haus ein eleganter Wohnsitz voll Zauber und Atmosphäre geworden. Es liegt im Herzen des historischen Zentrums der vornehmen Stadt Lucca.
Der Eingang, der Frühstücksraum, die Bar und der wohnlicher Aufenthaltsraum sind mit wertvollen Kronleuchtern und kostbaren Vorhängen dekoriert. Die ganze elegante Einrichtung ist in sanften Pastelltönen gehalten.
